Presentando su nuevo cassette Oliver Trash, se encontraban en esos años en la televisión chilena en un programa de TV diciochero con Jorge "chino" Navarrete y Paulina Nin, Tumulto quienes son otros pioneros en la escena rockera y metalera nacional, formado y fundado en 1973 por Alfonso “Poncho” Vergara y que siempre tuvieron un perfil super reservado principalmente por ser opacados por grupos de menor trayectoria pero mayor difusión, sin embargo existe un público fiel que los conoce y los han apoyado siempre reconociendo su tremendo talento. Unos de los grandes exponentes del heavy metal en Chile quienes ayudaron a ensanchar el camino del metal en aquella temporada de vacas flacas. De la época en que los cassettes originales eran una joya, llega este videoclip promocional de su primer grabación su demo de 4 temas, tras este siguieron "Steel Vengueance", "In Nomini" un recopilatorio, "Black Leather From Hell", "live Posthumus" y finalmente "Metal Genocide" tras algunos cambios en la formación. En la actualidad siguen muy vigentes en el país y en el extranjero, disfruten de este gran metal.

¡Hoy posts libres para todos! en el espíritu del primer mes de vida de este sitio, les traigo para chelear un rato escuchando un buen rock este material con increíbles y futurísticas gráficas, presenta varios temas de esta gran banda en directo entre los años 1968 y 1976 (año en el que el rock alcanzó su perfección según un tal Homero Simpson).
Ian Paice, Jon Lord, David Coverdale, Tommy Bolin, Glenn Hughes, Rod Evans, Nicky Simper, Ritchie Blackmore, Ian Gillan y Roger Glover, todos ellos en acción en ocasiones memorables como la primera vez en la historia de la música en que se mezcla el rock con una orquesta (Concerto For Group and Orchestra de 1969) o cuando Ritchie Blackmore en un ataque de rabia destruye guitarras, amplificadores, cámaras y quizas que más, en el California Jam de 1976 provocando que la banda sea evacuada en helicóptero.

Hoy al empezar la semana, un nuevo super mega clásico, otro de los padres de todo lo que llamamos metal en la actualidad, los genios Iommi, Ward, Osbourne y Butler. Desde 1967 llevan rockeando y hasta la actualidad llenan estadios, tanto esta alineación, la original; como la llamada Heaven & Hell con Dio en la voz y Vinny Appice en batería.
Este tema pertenece al primer y homónimo disco de la banda y presenta algo así como la introducción a un mundo oscuro que en esos años no existía en la música (todo era paz y flores).

Panzer - La Jaula (1988) 1:19:00

Panzer, son LOS precursores del verdadero sonido heavy metal en Chile, nacen en el año 1987 y los integrantes son: Juanzer (Guitarra), Khano (Guitarra Líder), D´Martini (Voz), Cote (Batería), José (Bajo), la voz de D´Martini posee una potencia perfecta para desarrollar el verdadero heavy metal. Han participado en las actuaciones en Chile de grandes como AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Barón Rojo y Rata Blanca entre otros.
Este track aparece en su disco "Tierra de Metales" de 1989 y demuestra de buena manera el estilo que tienen en el que se pueden reconocer claramente la influencia de bandas como Black Sabbath, Judas Priest o Iron Maiden.

Judas Priest - Painkiller (1990) 10:26:00

Hoy me puse superclásico, así que les dejo a continuación un ícono en la historia del heavy metal.
Que se puede escribir de Judas, comienzan en 1969, lanzan su primer disco "Rocka Rolla" en 1974 y continúan hasta la fecha siendo su último trabajo en estudio "Nostradamus" del 2008, en el trayecto además de definir lo que se conoce como heavy metal, han vendido más de 78 millones de álbumes alrededor del mundo.
Este track, "covereado" muchísimas veces, pertenece al disco de 1990 (lanzado un 18 de septiembre...) "Painkiller".

Astral Doors - Cloudbreaker (2003) 10:41:00

Astral Doors es una banda de hard rock/heavy metal sueca; en el año 2002 el guitarrista Joachim Nordlund y el baterista Johan Lindstedt deciden hacer música con el espíritu de sus heroes de los 70, Rainbow, Black Sabbath y Deep Purple, mas tarde se une el vocalista Nils Patrik Johansson aclamado por la crítica por su calidad vocal y similitud con la del legendario Ronnie James Dio.
Este track pertenece a su disco debut del 2003 Of the Son and the Father y ya para septiembre de este año se espera su nuevo trabajo titulado TBA. Recomiendo esta banda para todos aquellos que a veces se aburren un poco del metal melódico que abunda hoy y para cualquiera que disfrute del hard rock un poco mas contemporáneo.

Iron Maiden - The Rime of the Ancient Mariner (en vivo Club Hípico, Santiago de Chile 22/03/2009) 11:03:00

Dado que aún estamos en el mes del mar y recordando la reciente visita de Iron Maiden a Chile, les dejo The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner en vivo el 22 de marzo en el Club Hípico. Este extenso track (hasta la fecha el mas largo de la banda) aparece en el disco de 1986 Powerslave, compuesta por Steve Harris, está basada en el poema del mismo nombre escrito por Samuel Taylor Coleridge a finales del siglo XVIII.

To a place where nobody's been

The mariner kills the bird of good omen
His shipmates cry against what he's done
But when the fog clears, they justify him

The albatross begins with its vengeance
A terrible curse a thirst has begun
His shipmates blame the bad luck on the Mariner

There, calls the Mariner,
there comes a ship over the line
But how can she sail with no wind

Onward she nears, out of the sun
See...she has no crew
She has no life, wait but there's two

Death and she life in Death,
they throw their dice for the crew
She wins the Mariner and he belongs to her now.
Then...crew one by one
They drop down dead, two hundred men
She...She, Life in Death,
She lets him live, her chosen one.

"One after one by the star dogged moon,
too quick for groan or sigh
each turned his face with a ghastly pang,
and cursed me with his eye
four times fifty living men
(and I heard nor sigh nor groan),
with heavy thump, a lifeless lump,
they dropped down one by one."

The curse it lives on in their eyes
The Mariner he wished he'd die
Along with the sea creatres
But they lived on, so did he.

And by the light of the moon
He prays for their beauty not doom
With heart he blesses them
God's creatures all of them too

Then the spell starts to break
The albatross falls from his neck
Sinks down like lead into the sea
Then down in falls comes the rain.

Hear the groans of the long dead seamen
See them stir and they start to rise
Bodies lifted by good spirits
None of them speak
and they're lifeless in their eyes.

And revenge is still sought, penance starts again
Cast into a trance and the nightmare carries on.

Now the curse is finally lifted
And the Mariner sights his home
Spirits go from the long dead bodies
Form their own light and
the Mariner's left alone.

And then a boat came sailing towards him
It was a joy he could not believe
The pilots boat, his son and the hermit.
